Spring 2013 Wedding Dress Trends

Ok 2013 brides, it seems there are five big trends in wedding dresses for spring 2013.  Color,  portrait backs, peplums, lace, and convertible gowns are what dominated the bridal runways.  The over all look on the runways emphasized a  more romantic style backs, lace, and removable dress elements. Last season was marked by sexy backs and this season’s gowns overall offer more coverage and and a return to sophisticated glamour.  These changes are no doubt, partially in response to Duchess Kate’s Alexander McQueen bridal gown. Take a look at some of the gowns that demonstrate these trends and see which style may be right for you.

Color- Designers are embracing reds, blues, black and more to create a smoldering gown that embodies the style of a traditional wedding gown and the modern element of color. A luxurious red Vera Wang gown exemplifies that today’s bride isn’t limited to white anymore .

Lace -Lace softens everything and it’s the epitome of a romantic fabric. This lovely wedding dress is by Marchesa and has a gentle elegance about it.

Peplums- A  waist-defining element, peplums add an touch of couture style to any wedding gown. A throw back to Hollywood glamour, this Amsale gown is visually interesting and surprisingly figure flattering.
